Select the paragraphs you want to change. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Choose the number of line spaces you want or select Line Spacing Options, and then select the options you want under Spacing.
Any piece of text in TeX/LaTeX is a paragraph and follows predefined specifications. Single line-breaks will be ignored by the engine. To end a paragraph, leave a blank line between the end of the current and the beginning of the new paragraph.
Line spacing means the distance between the lines of text. Line spacing of 1 means line spacing will be as large as the size of one line, line spacing of 2 means the line spacing will be as large as the size of two lines, and so on.
Not all paragraphs indent the first line. If you do not indent the first line, you must skip a line between paragraphs. This is the second way to separate paragraphs. Look at the next paragraph and you will see that there is a space -- an empty line -- between the two paragraphs.
On the Home tab, right-click the Normal style, and choose Modify. Select Format, and then choose Paragraph.
Line spacing is the space between each line in a paragraph. Word allows you to customize the line spacing to be single spaced (one line high), double spaced (two lines high), or any other amount you want. The default spacing in Word is 1.08 lines, which is slightly larger than single spaced.
A paragraph is a coherent block of text, such as a group of related sentences that develop a single topic or a coherent part of a larger topic. A blank line contains zero or more non-printing characters, such as space or tab, followed by a new line.
Line spacing determines the amount of vertical space between lines of text in a paragraph. By default, lines are single-spaced, meaning that the spacing accommodates the largest font in that line, plus a small amount of extra space. Paragraph spacing determines the amount of space above or below a paragraph.
