You can also insert a manual page break anytime you want to start a new page in your document. Put your cursor where you want one page to end and the next to begin. Go to Insert Page Break.
Click on the Layout tab. Select Breaks Sections Breaks Next Page. 4. Put the cursor on the page where the page numbering should start (that is, section two in the document).
Go to Insert Page Number, and then choose Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available or if some page numbers are still there, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.

Put your cursor on the first page, and from the Insert menu, select Page Numbers. Select the position and alignment you want for the page numbers. Uncheck Show number on first page, and then click Format.
