Add a highlight effect to text in Pages on Mac Select the text you want to highlight. In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top. In the Font section, click . Next to Text Background, click either the color well on the left or the color wheel on the right and choose a color.
To delete a highlight or note, select and Control-click the text, then choose Remove Note, Remove Highlight, or Remove Note Highlight.
Select the text where you want to remove highlights and comments. To remove them for all body text in the document, press Command-A on your keyboard. Choose Edit Remove Highlights and Comments (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen).
