The \linebreak command tells LaTeX to break the current line at the point of the command. With the optional argument, number , you can convert the \linebreak command from a demand to a request.
Remove or clear a hanging indent Select the text where you want to remove a hanging indent. Go to Home Paragraph dialog launcher. Indents and Spacing. Under Special, select None. Select OK.
To start a paragraph without an indent, or to continue an interrupted paragraph, use \noindent . In the middle of a paragraph the \noindent command has no effect, because LaTeX is already in horizontal mode there. The \indent commands only effect is to output a space. This example starts a fresh paragraph.
Paragraph indent It is possible to override it by using the \setlength command. This will set paragraph indents to 1cm: \setlength{\parindent}{1cm} % Default is 15pt. at the beginning of the paragraph.
