Hi, this is Gary with MacMost.com. Today let me show you how to use Advanced Text Options on your Mac. MacMost is brought to you thanks to a great group of more than 800 supporters. Go to MacMost.com/patreon. There you can read more about the Patreon Campaign. Join us and get exclusive content and course discounts. Now in Pages, Numbers, and Keynote you can select text and change things about it. Change the Font. Change the size, change the style. But there are some advanced options hidden behind a single button in those three apps. So here I am in Pages. Now if I select some text, say here in the body of a word processing document, or if I create a text box and select some text in there I can go to the Format sidebar and then under Style I can change things about the text. For instance I can change the font thats being used. I can change the size and I could change things like the exact style thats used. I have quick access to certain things like Bold

On some Macs it is possible to press the fn (function) key as well as F11 to activate Full Screen mode. Alternatively, press Control + Command + F to trigger Full Screen mode.
Insert a break: Choose Edit > Insert, then choose Line Break, Paragraph Break, or Page Break.
The F11 function key will quickly slide up all your windows, revealing your desktop, and letting you interact with your files and folders. By default on MacBook / Pro / Air, and on the small keyboard for iMac, the F11 key is mapped to special functionality, like decreasing the volume.
Set pagination and line and page breaks in Pages on Mac For a line break: Click. in the toolbar, then choose Line Break. You can also choose Insert > Line Break. For a page break: Click. in the toolbar, then choose Page Break. You can also choose Insert > Page Break.
Do one of the following: Close a document but keep Pages open: Click the red close button in the top-left corner of the Pages window, or press Command-W. Close the document and quit Pages: Choose Pages > Quit Pages (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen).
Use keyboard function keys on Mac On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Keyboard in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) ... Click Keyboard Shortcuts on the right, then click Function Keys in the list on the left. Turn on “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” or “Use F1, F2, etc.
Add line and page breaks in Pages on iPad Tap where you want the break to occur. Tap. in the shortcut bar above the keyboard, then tap Line Break or Page Break. If you don't see Page Break, your document is a page layout document and doesn't use page breaks. Instead, you can add a new page.
Check the keyboard settings Perhaps, you have accidentally changed the keyboard preference so that nothing happens when you press the F10, F11, and F12 volume keys on the Mac keyboard. You may have enabled the Fn keys in the settings.
Check Keyboard settings In System Preferences (or System Settings), choose Keyboard > Keyboard. If you were expecting the function keys to work as function keys without a modifier, make sure that 'Use F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys' is checked.
This is how the Home and End keys work in MacOS. To expand the selection to the line start/end on MacOS, you would use Shift-Command-Left/Right. Most Mac apps (including MD) also respect the emacs commands Shift-Control-a/e.
