Autocomplete is an option that can save you keystrokes by automatically filling in HTML elements & attributes, CSS properties & values, and JavaScript variables & functions. We have two ways you can use autocomplete in the editor: you can enable it as an always-on feature, or you can trigger it with a keyboard command.
You can use the structure view popup to locate a code element in the file you are working on. To open the structure view popup, press Ctrl+F12 .
You need to go into the project settings and configure the interpreter to point at the virtualenv. PyCharm will then index the interpreter and allow you to autocomplete. The virtualenv may be auto-detected in the dropdown menu on the left.
Here's the solution: Go to Settings > Editor > General > Code Completion. Then, UNCHECK the box that says "Insert selected variant by typing dot, space, etc." See screenshot below.
On the Code menu, click Generate Alt+Insert . In the Generate popup, click Delegate Methods. Select the target field or method, and click OK. Select the desired methods to be delegated and click OK.
Press Ctrl+Alt+S to open the IDE settings and select Editor | Code Editing. Clear the Usages of element at caret checkbox in the Highlight on Caret Movement section.
By default, IntelliJ IDEA displays the code completion popup automatically as you type. If automatic completion is disabled, press Ctrl+Shift+Space or choose Code | Code Completion | Type-Matching from the main menu. If necessary, press Ctrl+Shift+Space once again.
Disable an inspection in the settings Press Ctrl+Alt+S to open the IDE settings and select Editor | Inspections. Locate the inspection you want to disable, and clear the checkbox next to it.
Go to File > Settings (or Ctrl + Alt + S ) > [IDE Settings] > Editor > Code Completion. The "Autopopup code completion" setting will determine if the popup opens automatically. Below it, the "Insert selected variant by typing dot, space, etc." is likely the setting you want to turn off. Save this answer.
You can disable certain postfix completion templates in the Editor | General | Postfix Completion page of the IDE settings Ctrl+Alt+S .
