Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

By default, your LaTeX document has a Chapter name (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc.) for each chapter. If you want to remove such chapter name from your document, then you can use titlesec package and define the titleformat in order to hide the chapter title.
You can use \renewcommand{\chaptername}{nameyouwant} if you put it into the document body. From this point of document to the end or other redefinition, nameyouwant will be used to customize your chapter names.
Remove \thispagestyle{myheadings} after the \chapter commands. Then pagestyle plain is used on the chapter pages.
\addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{WEEKDAY EVENING PRAYERS.} \chapter*{WEEKDAY EVENING PRAYERS.} \chapter{ON THE SIGN OF THE PRECIOUS AND LIFE-GIVING CROSS.}
If youd prefer your sections, subsection, and so forth to be displayed without numbers on the left side of the title, you simply add a * symbol to the command. (Note that section headings created this way will not be listed in the table of contents \tableofcontents.)
How to start a new chapter? The command \chapter is the one used in plain LaTeX to start a new chapter. This macro changes the required counters (the chapter, section, and float counters, among others) and also produces a large heading that usually consists of the chapter number and its title.
LaTeX Beginners Guide Open the file preamble.tex which we already used in this chapter. Add this command to specify layout and font of the chapter headings: Now define the section heading by calling \titleformat again: Add this line to adjust the chapter headings spacing: Save preamble.
Of course it is typically possible to recognize an end of a section, but there is actually a number of ways how a section can end: start of another section, start of the next chapter or part, start of \endmatter , bibliograpy, index, etc, or the end of document.
