If you added section breaks to your document, the easiest way to see where they begin and end is to show formatting marks. Go to Home, and select Show all nonprinting characters. Select the section break and then press Delete.
Separate each chapter by going to Insert -- Section Break. Go to Tools -- EndNote -- Configure Bibliography making sure the style is set to the one you just modified, such as APA 6th Bibliography. The Word document will automatically update the references and display them after each chapter.
Create your Numbering Format In the HOME tab, in the PARAGRAPH section, click the down arrow next to the numbered list (1-, 2-, 3-) to open the NUMBERING LIBRARY. Click on DEFINE NEW NUMBER FORMAT. For Number Style: Select One, Two, Three For Number Format, type Chapter before One Click OK.
Select where you want a new section to begin. Go to Layout Breaks, and then choose the type of section break you want. Next Page Starts the new section on the following page.
If it already has Heading 1 applied, pressing Ctrl+Q should do it.
To review changes one at a time, click Review then Accept or Reject. To finalize the document all at once, click Accept All Changes or Reject All Changes.
You need to use Section Break (Next Page) at the end of each chapter then specify End of Section as the Location when inserting the endnotes.
