The main advantage of shooting in RAW is that you end up with high-quality files to edit into the best possible image. Capturing and storing all the details that pass through your camera's sensors means RAW files contain a wider dynamic range and far greater color spectrum than JPEGs.
jpeg files. Right-click on the highlighted thumbnails and select "JPG lossless operations" and then "Set IPTC data to selected files." Enter information and hit the "Write" button. This will write your information to all of the highlighted photos. This is a good method for entering dates, photographer, etc.
Add Text to Photos on Android Using Google Photos Open a photo in Google Photos. At the bottom of the photo, tap Edit (three horizontal lines). Tap the Markup icon (squiggly line). You can also select the color of text from this screen. Tap the Text tool and enter your desired text. Select Done when you've finished.
It's because when you shoot in JPEG mode, your camera applies sharpening, contrast, color saturation, and all sorts of little tweaks to create a fully processed, good-looking final image.
If you wish to make a quick edit or directly use the image for social media, go with JPEGs. If you wish to edit the same image seriously, use the RAW file. I hope next time you import an image to Lightroom, these experiments will encourage you to shoot and edit in RAW format.
The simplest way is to add metadata through your computer without using additional software. To do this, right click on the digital image you want to add meta-data to; then, select "Properties" on the pop-up. From there, select the "details" tab where you can add tags and keywords.
Click the picture you want to add a caption to. Click References > Insert Caption. To use the default label (Figure), type your caption in the Caption box.
If you can, use a soft lead pencil to write information—including who's in a photo, the date it was taken, the occasion, and where it was taken—on the back of a photograph (where the information will never become separated from the image). Soft lead is important because hard lead pencils will leave an indentation.
JPEG file (see specification) contains 2-bytes header (SOI) followed by series of markers, some markers can be followed by data array. Each type of marker has different header format. The bytes where the image is stored follows SOF0 marker (10-bytes length).
Raw has more options for correcting exposure issues With a JPEG, white balance is applied by the camera, and there are fewer options to modify it in post-processing. With a raw file, you have complete control over white balance when editing the image. Lost detail in overexposed highlights cannot be recovered in a JPEG.
