hi guys welcome to this video in this video I am going to show you how to make a table of content so for making the table of content let me quickly add some text into this empty word document and add text by using rand() command and it will randomly add text in this empty blank document. Okay so I have added some random text, now I quickly go and add my headings that I want to have it in my Table of Contents so this is Heading 1: Introduction. This is of level 1 Heading okay. his is heading again of level 1 introduction level 1 put adding here this is again level 1 Heading. Okay! Just Bear with me for one minute okay. This is level one, I am doing level one level two, you will quickly come to know. This is level two okay and I will add a few more, two or three more. This is level three okay! thats enough. Change text alignment Place the insertion point anywhere in the paragraph, document, or table that you want to align. Do one of the following: To align the text left, press Ctrl+L. To align the text right, press Ctrl+R. To center the text, press Ctrl+E.
For each heading that you want in the table of contents, select the heading text. Go to Home Styles, and then choose Heading 1. Update your table of contents.
Click the Layout tab in the Table Tools ribbon group. Expand the Alignment group, if necessary. There are nine alignment options, letting you align the content to either side of a cell, any corner, or center it in the middle of the cell. Select an alignment option.
Once the tabs have been set, place the cursor between the text and the page number, and then press the Tab key on the keyboard. This will automatically insert leading dots and move the page number to the right margin.

As for the subtitles, highlight one, press the TAB button on your keyboard, and then choose the same Multilevel List option. It will design the subtitles of the secondary sections with the numbers like 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.
