You know, most camps I spoke with say they are already almost filled and Charlotte alone has more than 100 camp that theyre offering that range from just one week to the entire summer. The mad dash to get your child signed up for a summer camp is amongst us. They are filling up every day. Im getting the notification that folks are signing up so the next couple of weeks is where I think is going to be intense. The McCall Center Summer Arts camp will give kids hands on experience and teaching from local and national artists. Our summer camps are for youth that are aspiring artists or just have an interest in creativity. And because we have spaces that foster creation. Like our labs and we have artists that are here in the building. The camp is already 85% filled. Specialty camps like this one tend to fill up faster than larger programs like the YMCA, mostly due to smaller sizes, but as of right now the YMCA of Greater Charlotte says theyre more than 90% full for day camps.
