To color text in Word, first highlight the text to change, then use the coloring buttons. To change fill color, click on the dropdown arrow and choose a preset color or select More colors for more options. Visit the Custom tab to select color intensity or input a numeric RGB value. Click OK to apply the new color. To adjust transparency or add an outline color, click on the font color dropdown, choose Gradient, and then More Gradients.
