A file with the ASPX file extension is an Active Server Page Extended file thats designed for Microsofts ASP.NET framework. Its also called a . NET web form. Although they look fairly similar, ASPX files arent the same as Web Handler files that end in ASHX.
Microsofts website uses the ASPX extension instead of HTML. This extension stands for Active Server Pages. If you want to view ASPX files more conveniently, you can convert ASPX to PDF files. PDF format does not depend on the operating system, software, hardware, or even a specific device.
If you just want to take a look at the text an ASPX file contains, you can open it with Microsoft Notepad (Windows), Apple TextEdit (Mac), or any other text editor. You can also drag the file to your web browser. This is an active server page extended file. You will need VBScript and/or C# to create this file type.
The mime type for . aspx is text/html.
