Heres how to use it: Select the cell you want to trace precedents for. Go to the Formula Auditing group on the Formulas tab. Click on the Trace Precedents button ( or Ctrl + ] ). If the cell has multiple precedents, you can use the Trace Precedents button again to trace the precedents of the precedent cells.
Simply do the following: Select the cell with the formula and the adjacent cells you want to fill. Click Home Fill, and choose either Down, Right, Up, or Left. Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Ctrl+D to fill the formula down in a column, or Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.
Add a trendline Select a chart. Select the + to the top right of the chart. Select Trendline. Note: Excel displays the Trendline option only if you select a chart that has more than one data series without selecting a data series. In the Add Trendline dialog box, select any data series options you want, and click OK.
To add the Track Changes button in the ribbon, you will need to create a custom group and then add the button to the group. Click Excel Preferences Ribbon Toolbar. Under Customize the Ribbon, under Main tabs, select Review.
Trace Precedents: Press Ctrl followed by the square bracket [. The shortcut takes you to the first cell used by the active cell with the formula. However, it does not draw arrows linking the cells related to the active cell. Trace Dependents: Press Ctrl followed by the right-facing square bracket ].
Follow these steps: Select the cell for which you want to identify the dependent cells. To display a tracer arrow to each cell that is dependent on the active cell, on the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing group, click Trace Dependents .
Select the cell or range of cells you want to format. Click Home Format Cells dialog launcher, or press Ctrl+Shift+F. On the Fill tab, under Background Color, pick the color you want. To use a pattern with two colors, pick a color in the Pattern Color box, and then pick a pattern in the Pattern Style box.
