Hi everyone! Welcome back. Today were going to cover arguably one of the most intelligent tools in our app - Auto Trace. Weve had this feature for a few years now, but weve just released a new update which Im sure youll find very cool. So lets start. First of all, you need to know that Auto Trace is a content-aware feature. So while its not visible now in our Style Tab, it automatically appears once an image is selected. You can also access it in the Quick Actions menu down here. The exact same options appear if we tap on this button, but more on that later. With our latest update, Auto Trace can now be used in 2 different modes: Photography and Sketch. For the Photography mode, we have this cool astronaut image here to demo on, and Im going to use Quick Actions for convenience. So tap on the image, tap on Auto Trace and we see these two parameters - complexity and minimum path size. You can just Auto Trace the image without making any changes to these sliders - wait a few seco

Adjust settings: Try increasing the Path Fitting value and reducing the Noise value in the Image Trace panel to preserve more details. Manual editing: After tracing the image, you can use Illustrators tools (such as the Pen tool and Direct Selection tool) to manually refine paths and anchor points.
How to use Image Trace in docHub Illustrator With the image open in docHub Illustrator, select Window Image Trace. With the image selected, check the Preview box. Select the Mode drop down menu, and choose the mode that best suits your design. Next, adjust the Colors, Grays, or Threshold slider.
