Format the slide background with a photo At the far-right end, select Format Background. The Format Background pane opens on the right side of the window. Under Fill, select Picture or texture fill.
Select the stamp icon to the left side of the texture image to apply one instance of the texture. Use your mouse to navigate around your 3D model and move the texture around to cover your object. Continue to click the stamp icon until youve completely covered your 3D model with the texture.
Applying texture fills Select an object. Click Edit Object properties. In the Object properties docker, click the Texture fill button to display texture fill options. Choose a texture library from the Texture fill list box.
Solid fill applies a single color uniformly within the whole of an object. Gradient fill applies a continuous blend of two or more colors, where one color gradually fades and changes into another. Picture fill applies a tile pattern or image as an object background.
A texture fill is a randomly generated fill that you can use to give your objects a natural appearance. You can use existing texture fills, such as water, minerals, and clouds. You can change the colors of a texture fill.
A similar concept, texture fillrate, refers to the number of texture map elements (texels) the GPU can map to pixels in one second. Texture fillrate is obtained by multiplying the number of texture mapping units (TMUs) by the clock frequency of the GPU. Texture fillrates are given in mega or gigatexels per second.
