Sometimes, you may want to add text to a specific location on the page but your layout wonamp;#39;t allow it. Putting the text inside a text box will give you the freedom to move it wherever you want. To create a text box, go to the Insert tab then click Text Box. There are several built-in options to choose from but you could always go with the plain text box and add formatting yourself. To do this, click Draw Text Box then click and drag roughly where you want your text box to go. Now you can type whatever you want. Whenever you create a textbox, the Format tab will appear which gives you various options to change the overall appearance of the text box, as well as the formatting for the text inside. You can use these options, along with the formatting options on the Home tab, to get the text to look exactly the way you want. In this example Iamp;#39;m going to make several different changes. To use the autofill feature, you can follow these four steps: Choose your text. Select the text that you want to turn into an autofill suggestion by highlighting it. Navigate to the AutoText menu. There are several ways to navigate to the AutoText menu. Create a new building block. Use your new AutoText entry.
Fit text automatically Click anywhere in the text. On the Format menu, point to AutoFit Text, and do one of the following: To reduce the point size of text until there is no text in overflow, click Shrink Text On Overflow. To shrink or expand text to fit in the text box when you resize the box, click Best Fit.
Wrap text automatically On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, select Wrap Text. (On Excel for desktop, you can also select the cell, and then press Alt + H + W.) Notes: Data in the cell wraps to fit the column width, so if you change the column width, data wrapping adjusts automatically.
Select the shape or text box. On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Shape Fill More Fill Colors. In the Colors box, either click the color you want on the Standard tab, or mix your own color on the Custom tab.
To add a fill or effect, click your shape, click Format, click the arrow next to Shape Fill or Shape Effects, and select a color, gradient, texture, or effect. Click the shape that you want to fill.
Change the text color Select the shape or text box. On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Text Fill More Fill Colors. In the Colors box, either click the color you want on the Standard tab, or mix your own color on the Custom tab.

Place the mouse where you want to put the fill-in form field. Click the Developer tab, then select Design Mode. Then, click the Content Control buttons to insert content controls like drop-down menus or a date picker. Click the Design Mode button again when youre finished to activate the form.
