\bar puts a macron over a letter: a (math mode).
Its really easy, just add the \caption{Some caption} and inside the braces write the text to be shown. The placement of the caption depends on where you place the command; if its above the \includegraphics then the caption will be on top of it, if its below then the caption will also be set below the figure.
Theres no specific command for subjects in letter style, so do something like this: \bigskip \textbf{Subject line} \bigskip\noindent First paragraph of text
The \title{..} command is used to specify a title for your document, where the title is entered in the curly brackets. The \author{..} and \date{..} commands are used to display information regarding the document authors name and the date of the document.
You simply type \LaTeX . One problem with this is that if you type it a lot of times in your text you will need to type \LaTeX\␣ (i.e., followed by \ and an actual space) to force a space after it.
Opening (like \opening{Dear Sir or Madam,} or \opening{Dear Kate,} ). Main body (written as usual in LaTeX). If you want the same body in all the letters, you may want to consider putting the entire body in a new command like \newcommand{\BODY}{actual body} and then using \BODY in all the letters.
Inputting and including files The standard tools to insert a LaTeX file into another are \input and \include . Use this command in the document body to insert the contents of another file named filename.
You can define a title for your document using \title{} and then create the title itself using \maketitle . You can also add other information such as the author(s) and the date, e.g. Note the use of \today to automatically insert the date you created the document. Of course you can just write a date if you prefer!
