A Rich Text Document (. rtf file) is a versatile format that allows advanced formatting to be viewed on multiple platforms. Please note that RTFs, unlike PDFs, are easily edited.
RTF does not spread viruses. Microsoft Word macro viruses can present big security problems on the Internet. If you send RTF files instead of DOC files by e-mail, you can ensure that harmful macros wont be inadvertently sent to others, but that most of your formatting will be preserved.
RTF files are supported by a wide range of applications, including Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer, and many others. This makes it a widely compatible format for sharing documents across different platforms and software.
RTF files are simple to use and easy to edit. On Windows, save a document as an RTF file by navigating to File Save as and then select RTF. Once youve opened your RTF file on Microsoft Word, select the text you would like to edit. Start typing in this space to replace the current text with the new text.
Just add a {/n} every place in your strings you want a line break, make sure that the SetText is using a Format Text, and done!
Open the systems print dialogue box. (You can click Control + P, or File Print.) Under Printer, Select Microsoft Print to PDF. Click Print to save a copy of the RTF file as a PDF on your computer.
Limited advanced formatting options. While RTF supports basic formatting features, it may lack more advanced options available in specific word processing formats. Complexity when handling large files. Not ideal for data interchange.
