hey guys eddie the magic monk here as you can see i have a csv file called test data open in excel and in this file you can see that the dates are in the american format okay so here in australia we write dates as 2507 if itamp;#39;s 25th of july but in america itamp;#39;s 7 25 so i want to change this to match the australian or the international standard so this is what i would do okay i would get out of this csv file iamp;#39;m going to create another one uh an excel file and iamp;#39;m gonna call it date converted okay and iamp;#39;m gonna open up this excel file and what iamp;#39;m gonna do is iamp;#39;m gonna go into the data menu and iamp;#39;m going to click on from text csv and itamp;#39;s in the section called get and transform data and what it does is it obtains the data from a csv file and transforms it before we put it in the spreadsheet so letamp;#39;s click on that and letamp;#39;s choose the folder from our desktop test data and you can see itamp;#39;s uh det

Here are the rules for creating CSV files: Separate data fields with a delimiter, usually a comma. Keep each record on a separate line. Do not follow the last record in a file with a carriage return. In the first line of the file, include a header with a list of the column names in the file.

So basically, just open the CSV with File|Open as I did and see if the column is formatted for time. If so, then change the format to what you desire. To do that automatically, find a way to know the CSVs filename and use VBA to open such, then format its column.
Special characters (, , , etc) in downloaded CSV files On a Windows computer, open the CSV file using Notepad. Click File Save As. In the dialog window that appears - select ANSI from the Encoding field. Then click Save. Open this new CSV file using Excel.
Excel stores dates as numbers, and it uses up to 16 digits when creating the date format. The digits to the right of the decimal are interpreted as hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. Therefore a default timestamp upload from Excel will often appear this way: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%.
Open the . RIGHT-CLICK the tile above the Start Date column header. ( Select Format Cells from the shortcut menu. If necessary, select the Number tab (it should appear by default). Select Custom from the number Category list. In the Type field, replace the text that appears with yyyy-mm-dd. Click OK.
Select your CSV file and click Choose (Mac) or Open (PC). Click the Import button. The orders will be imported into Stamps.com and a summary of the orders that were imported will be displayed. Click the OK button to return to the ORDERS tab.
Go to File Save As. The Save As dialog box appears. In the Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet. For example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited).
