Apply Fill Color to an Object Select the object. Click the Fill box in the Tools panel or the Color panel. Doing so indicates that you want to apply a fill rather than a stroke.
Select the drawn object with the Selection tool, and then select the Stroke tool and a color from the swatch. This will color the lines and strokes in the object. Then, select the Fill tool and pick a color from the swatch. Clicking inside the object will fill it with the selected color or pattern.

The fill command in AutoCAD is used to fill a shape with a colour or pattern.
Change the inside (fill) color Select the shape or text box. On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Shape Fill More Fill Colors. In the Colors box, either click the color you want on the Standard tab, or mix your own color on the Custom tab.
If you want to fill the entire shape with the picture, select Crop Fill. Some outer edges of the picture might be cropped away. There wont be any empty space at the margins of the shape. To make the entire picture fit within the shape, select Crop Fit.
Paint inside an area Open the Pixel, Live, or Vector brushes panel and select Paint inside . Click and hold Paint inside to change the Paint inside settings. Toggle on Transparent areas only to paint any area with no content. Move the Color margin slider to adjust the boundary between the color and linework.
Fill a selection or layer with color Choose a foreground or background color. Select the area you want to fill. Choose Edit Fill to fill the selection or layer. In the Fill dialog box, choose one of the following options for Use, or select a custom pattern: Specify the blending mode and opacity for the paint.
