how to insert a picture into a shape in microsoft word at the beginning we are first going to insert the shape so we go to the insert tab click on shapes and there we select one of these shapes so iamp;#39;m going to choose this rectangle with the snipped corners now i drag this shape and when we go to the format tab and click on shape fill we can choose to insert a picture now we choose from a file and here we simply select our image then we click on insert and as you can see the image will be inserted now what you will realize is that the aspect ratio of the image is a bit distorted and this is due to the fact that my original image has an aspect ratio of one to one now to solve this problem we can either adapt the size of the shape so we can for example set a height of 5 centimeters and a width of also five centimeters to make the aspect ratio one on one again or what we can do is to change the cropping function of this shape so when we go to the picture tools and there to the form
