hey friends this is kyle webster with another one minute photoshop tip this is a really cool way to do what i would call cell shading for your illustration work what iamp;#39;d like to do here is come to this layer that has the color and just hold down my command key and tap on it so i make a selection of it and then iamp;#39;ll make a new layer and make a mask out of that now what iamp;#39;m going to do is draw inside of this layer using a sort of bluish purple hue with a medium value somewhere like there and now that i have that mask working for me i can just select areas along the side that i want to shade iamp;#39;m going to fill it with color and then change the layer blending mode to multiply and then i can adjust the opacity to what i think works well of course i can also use my brush to do the same thing and there you go
