To create a CSS inner shadow, you must use the box-shadow property with the inset keyword. This is because if the inset keyword is not specified, by default, the shadow will appear as a drop shadow on the outside of the HTML element frame.
Adding shadows to text To add a drop shadow to the text inside the box you need a different CSS property text-shadow . The text-shadow property takes a number of values: The offset on the x-axis. The offset on the y-axis.
On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Text Effects Shadow and then pick the shadow you want. When you rest your pointer on one of the shadow effects, it appears as a preview on the text.
The code for the shadow is: box-shadow: rgb(204, 219, 232) 3px 3px 6px 0px inset, rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5) -3px -3px 6px 1px inset; The keyword inset is used to specify that we want to use the shadow inwards and not the default behaviour that is outwards .
The CSS box-shadow property is used to apply one or more shadows to an element. Specify a Horizontal and a Vertical Shadow. In its simplest use, you only specify a horizontal and a vertical shadow. Specify a Color for the Shadow. Add a Blur Effect to the Shadow. Set the Spread Radius of the Shadow. Set the inset Parameter.
To add a shadow to text, you can use the CSS text-shadow property. The text-shadow property takes three values: The first value is the horizontal offset of the shadow. A positive value will move the shadow to the right, while a negative value will move the shadow to the left.
CSS Box Shadow Specify a horizontal and a vertical shadow: div { box-shadow: 10px 10px; Specify a color for the shadow: div { Add a blur effect to the shadow: div { Set the spread radius of the shadow: div { Add the inset parameter: div { div { box-shadow: 5px 5px blue, 10px 10px red, 15px 15px green;
