In this part of the series on How To Study The Bible, well learn about how we can discover the flow of thought and the structure of a book using sentence diagrams. In the previous part of this study, we had learned that Inductive Bible Study has three components: Observation, Interpretation and Application. Careful observation of the form and structure of a biblical book or passage is one of the first things we need to do. It can help us understand the book as a whole and the hierarchy of thoughts in it. For instance, consider this passage from St Pauls epistle to the Roman church. Heres the opening sentence taken from the New American Standard Bible! Its advisable to use a literal translation for Inductive study because we want our text to be as closely aligned to the original text. We place a lot of importance on words in the Bible. So we dont want to use a version that throws in a lot of words to m
