This is surface filling curve flows via implicit medial axes. Surface filling curves smoothly cover the surface of an input geometry, here a triangle mesh. These curves are important in fabrication and design, but past algorithms for computing them were incredibly slow, often taking hours even for simple examples. Compared to them, our method achieved a massive speedup, making it practical for engineers and artists. Our big idea is to formulate a new flow which generates surface-filling curves based on the radius of the largest sphere that can be played tangent to the curve on either side. This flow can be evaluated with robust and efficient closest-point queries, making our algorithm orders of magnitude faster. The other main computational steps are sparse linear solves and tracing out curves along the mesh surface. Now some results. We show that the flow works well on a variety of geometries, from mechanical models, 3D scans, or content creation assets. Hereamp;#39;s an example wher
