Drag the Fill Handle: Place your cursor over the fill handle. Click and drag it down to cover the desired range of cells where you want the formula applied. Release to Fill: Once youve covered the desired range, release the mouse button. Google Sheets will automatically apply the formula to these cells.

Highlight the cells. Youll see a small blue box in the lower right corner. Drag the blue box any number of cells down or across.

How to Fill Down in Google Sheets (Auto Fill Method) Click the first cell of the column. Enter the formula then press Enter. Click the check button for autofill suggestion (when it appears) or double-click the small blue box on the lower-right corner of the highlighted cell.
