Enable the AutoComplete feature Select the Mail tab. Scroll approximately halfway down until you see Send messages. Make sure that the Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines box is checked.
Open Outlook and click New email. Type one or more letters of the recipient name or address; this will show memorized (cached) entries in a drop-down list. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select the entry to be deleted. With the entry highlighted, press the Delete key on your keyboard.
Add recipients directly to your message On your computer, open Gmail. At the top left, click Compose. In the To: line, add recipients. On the right of the To: line, click Use mail merge . Turn on Mail Merge. In your message, enter @. Select a merge tag: To insert the merge tag, press Enter.
When youre filling out a form or sending a package, and you come across the term Recipient Name, dont overthink it. The Recipient Name is just the full, formal name of the person whos meant to receive whatever youre sending; whether thats an email, a letter, or a package.
I want to clear my Outlook autocomplete cache Open Outlook. On the File tab, select Options. Select the Mail tab. Under Send Messages, select Empty Auto-Complete List, and hit OK.
On a computer, go to your Gmail settings. Under Create contacts for auto-complete, choose an option. At the bottom of the page, click Save changes.
To insert the auto-detected first name, use the syntax {auto-first}. Again, you can use this syntax in the Subject and Message. In the example below, we auto-detect the first name and use a fallback value of old friend in cases where the first name cannot be detected.
