Once your form is open in the Preview app, click the icon to the left of the Search bar. This is the Show Form Filling Toolbar button, which will open another ribbon with form-filling options. Select the first tool represented by the alphabet A with a cursor, called Text Selection button.
On your Mac, open an app that lets you create documents. For example, open TextEdit to create a plain text, rich text, or HTML document. Click New Document in the Open dialog, or choose File New.
