you really want to write down and memorize the point-slope formula itamp;#39;s a really cool way to be able to write the equation of a line if you know the slope and one point in this little light bulb they tell you where that point-slope formula comes from which is super interesting so if you want to read that and kind of look into it you can but really all you have to do is take the y from the point and plug it in for y sub 1 take the x from the point and plug it in for x sub 1. because that y sub 1 is negative you want to change it to y plus 1 instead of 1 y minus a negative 1 and then you just plug in your slope and your x sub 1. so we have y minus eight equals the slope which is negative five halves put your right arrow there parentheses x now weamp;#39;re gonna do minus a negative 6 so iamp;#39;m just going to put plus 6 and thatamp;#39;s your point slope form itamp;#39;s so awesome so we do y minus the y so y minus a negative 3 is y plus 3 equals and we put the slope negati

The default R plot pch symbol is 1, which is an empty circle. You can change this to pch = 19 (solid circle) or to pch = 21 (filled circle). To change the color and the size of points, use the following arguments: col : color (hexadecimal color code or color name).
In thrillers, the scene could involve a murderer stalking his next victim. Or a kidnapper playing recorded screams over the phone for the hero. In a romance novel, the First Pinch Point could be the heros husband being seduced by another woman (acting as the antagonist).

Adding text If you want to annotate your plot or figure with labels, there are two basic options: text() will allow you to add labels to the plot region, and mtext() will allow you to add labels to the margins. For the plot region, to add labels you need to specify the coordinates and the label.
To add new points to an existing plot, use the points() function. The points function has many similar arguments to the plot() function, like x (for the x-coordinates), y (for the y-coordinates), and parameters like col (border color), cex (point size), and pch (symbol type).
Using pch values in R R offers a range of values that correspond to specific symbols. For instance pch = 1 for circles pch = 2 for triangles pch = 3 for downward pointing triangles and so forth. You can find the list of available pch values in the R documentation.
