Scroll through the patterns or use the Filter option at the bottom of the panel to narrow your search for the pattern fill you want. Select a pattern thumbnail to apply the pattern fill to your layer. Any time you select a new pattern, the pattern will be applied to your layer on the Canvas.
Right-click the shape that you want to add a pattern fill to and select Format Shape. In the Format Shape pane, click Fill, and then click Pattern Fill. Select a pattern, and if you like, click the arrows next to Foreground and Background and select a color combination.
The Fill Pattern feature lets you select an area defined by co-planar faces or a sketch that lies on co-planar faces. The command fills the defined region with a pattern of features or a predefined cut shape. If you use a sketch for the boundary, you may need to select the pattern direction.
With the right mouse button, drag the object over the destination object to which you want to apply the fill. A blue outline of the first object follows the pointer to the destination object. 3 . When the pointer changes to a crosshair pointer , release the mouse button, and choose Copy fill here from the context menu.
Duplicate and place on the opposite side After positioning the elements, you need copies of them on the opposite sides to create the repeating pattern. Select all the elements and hit Ctrl+C Ctrl+V, or go to menu Edit Copy and then Edit Paste.
You can also apply a pattern fill by clicking the Interactive fill tool in the toolbox and choosing Two-color pattern from the Fill type list box on the property bar. You can mix a color with only one of the colors in the fill by pressing Ctrl and dragging a color to the interactive handle.
Fill patterns are created by transforming the member locations out from the origin ing to the grid, the grid orientation, and the spacing between members. The sketched area and the border allowance determine which members are created. Any member whose center is within the sketch boundary will be created.
Applying texture fills Select an object. Click Object Object properties. In the Fill area of the Object properties docker, click the flyout arrow on the Two-color pattern fill button , and click the Texture fill button to display texture fill options.
