To add a pattern fill to a stroke, first make sure the stroke icon is active in the fill/stroke chips at the bottom of the toolbox. This works best if the stroke is wide enough to see the pattern. our stroke on this object is 15 pt. Now just click the pattern swatch in the Swatches panel to apply it to the stroke.
Adding a pattern With the Select tool ( ), select the shape you want to fill with a pattern. Open the Shape Style panel by clicking its title bar. Click the Pattern option, which becomes highlighted. In the Pattern Fill panel, make sure All Patterns is selected from the drop-down list at the top of the panel.
After the patterned texture is applied, go to the In Model materials, and right-click on the pattern, and choose Edit. Once in edit, click the sliders icon, and then you can apply an RGB tint to the pattern. Only the white areas become tinted, so the lines will stay black. Using the color wheel will also work.
To start applying materials to your model, follow these steps: Select the Paint Bucket tool ( ). In the Materials panel that opens, click the Select tab. From the drop-down list, select a materials collection. Click the material you want to use. Back in the drawing area, click a face or faces to apply the material.
To create a fill pattern, click Fill Pattern (Features toolbar) or Insert Pattern/Mirror Fill Pattern, set the PropertyManager options, and click . Parameters control the pattern layout. You can create a sheet metal perforation-style pattern, or a pattern of concentric shapes typically used to enhance aesthetics.
With your Section Cut in position it is time to add the fill. Right-click the Section Cut and choose Add SectionCutFace from the context menu. This will launch a dialog with a ton of options. Here you can choose the type of fill, whether to hides edges, lock the cut etc.
The Paint Bucket tool is used to fill a selected area with a color or pattern in a rectangle or any other object.
Scroll through the patterns or use the Filter option at the bottom of the panel to narrow your search for the pattern fill you want. Select a pattern thumbnail to apply the pattern fill to your layer. Any time you select a new pattern, the pattern will be applied to your layer on the Canvas.
