in this video Im going to show you how to create a data topic were going to open Microsoft Word now open the content mapper tab select new document I have the option of creating one of five things I did a concept i did a map i did a reference i did a task or it did a topic when i click undid a topic it shows me my options i can choose a new blank topic or from any of the templates well start with a new blank topic and click create this opens up the content mapper user interface open the data topic tab here is where the author will do most of her editing now Ill fill in the default text and write a new topic a new short description title section title and paragraph you can also add list pictures tables and more will keep this topic short and simple for this video when youre ready to save go to the content map or tab and click Save document choose a folder to save it in give the file a name and click save your data topic is now stored as valid XML in your repository
