To find the percentage, divide the total marks obtained by the student by the total maximum marks and multiply by 100. This will give you the raw percentage. For instance, if the total marks obtained are 480 out of a total maximum of 600, the raw percentage would be (480/600) * 100 = 80%.
The US grading system uses a 4.0 GPA scale, which means that 25 points are equal to 1 point in the US GPA. Therefore, to convert the percentage to GPA 4.0 scale, just divide it by 100 and then multiply it by 4.
Percentage means fraction out of 100. Or in other words, you can say how much you scored or get out of 100 marks. So, 40% of 100 marks= 40/100*100= 40 marks.
To find the passing marks, we subtract the failing marks from the total marks. Therefore, the passing marks are 600 - 24 = 576.
Students who will write the Board examination for five subjects will be scored for 500 marks while those who opt for six subjects will write for a total 600 marks. The difference in total marks is not going to affect the marks of the students in any way.
Moreover, if you want to calculate total marks from here, then you can simply multiply your percentage divided by 100 by the total marks (total of all subjects). So, here if you have total 5 subjects with 100 as total marks each, then your marks in 12th would be (66.5/100) x 500= 332.5.
The percentage is a fraction or a ratio in which the value of the whole (denominator) is always 100. For example, if Sam scored 30% marks in his math test, it means that he scored 30 marks out of 100. It is written as 30/100 in the fraction form and 30:100 in terms of ratio.
Simply multiply marks(out of 70) by 10/7 you marks will be converted to out of 100 marks.
