Where and how to find templates in Word Open Microsoft Word. Click on File in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Choose New from the menu on the left-hand side. You will see a list of template categories on the right-hand side of the screen, including Featured,Personal, and Business.
The default location of the User Templates Folder remains C:\Users\ user name \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates. The User Templates folder will still contain the Normal. dotm template. The location of that folder can be modified (or discovered) using File - Options - Advanced - File Locations.
Use these tips to ensure your letter template is professional and well-received: Try to keep your letter to one page. Choose a basic font, such as Calibri or Times New Roman, that doesnt distract the reader or make your letter hard to read. Use a 12- or 11-point font, which is easy to read and fills a page well.
