To control the legends size, you can adjust the cex argument, which stands for character expansion. In this example, we create a simple plot and use the legend() function to position the legend in the top right corner ( topright ) and set the character expansion factor ( cex ) to 1.5 .
For that, you must manipulate the series label and the legend box with your mouse. Click the legend box. Click an individual data label in the legend. Click Home in Excels ribbon. Click the Increase Font Size icon in the ribbons Font tab until the label is the size you want.
To change the Size of Legend, we have to add guides() and guidelegend() functions to the geompoint() function. Inside guides() function, we take parameter color, which calls guidelegend() guide function as value. Inside guidelegend() function, we take an argument called override.
The legend automatically updates when you add or delete data series from the axes. This command creates a legend in the current axes, which is returned by the gca command. If the current axes is empty, then the legend is empty. If no axes exist, then legend creates a Cartesian axes.
You can change the font size of a Matplotlib legend by specifying a font size value for the fontsize parameter. We assigned a font size of 20 to the fontsize parameter to get the legend size in the image above: fontsize=20 .
To change the legend size of the plot, the user needs to use the cex argument of the legend function and specify its value with the user requirement, the values of cex greater than 1 will increase the legend size in the plot and the value of cex less than 1 will decrease the size of the legend in the plot.
