so this project started as a desire to develop or design an intraoperative timeout for laparoscopic cholecystectomy in order to better adhere to and document the critical view of safety but what we learned as we moved through this project was that sharing images and grading images made it so that our understanding of the critical view became standardized and that this could possibly be used in large groups to teach standardized dissections the other thing we realized in doing this project was that we incessantly collect preoperative postoperative quality metrics on our patients but we dont collect any intraoperative quality metrics upon our patients so this is what we did we put 13 surgeons together in a MMS chat group and shared images of the critical view of safety prior to clipping and if you were an evaluator you might be in between cases and your phone would go off ding you would get a message with images these images are high quality theyre taken directly from the screen it com
