Welcome back to another video. Today we are going to look at numbered headings amp;amp; subheadings. Numbered lists have been covered many many times, in articles and videos. Some good, some not so good. This will be a short and sharp guide to get you up and running. Numbered headings are created using Multilevel Lists. We can define a new Multilevel List from the Multilevel List drop down menu. A new popup will open. On the left we can select different levels to modify. In the centre we can see a preview of the list being created, showing the numbering and spacing. Below that we can change the formatting and list style for the current level. Below again we can change the position of the text. And pressing the button in the bottom left will open more options. These new options allow us to link the current level to a heading style the key to our problem. We will work through the example of having 3 levels of numbers, with a full stop between each value. A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: To remove the first page header or footer Select Different First Page.

Type the text you want into a Word document. Select a sentence that you want to add a header to. Select Home Styles (or press Alt+H, then L), and then select the heading you want, such as the Heading 1 button.
How do I change multiple headings in Word? Highlight the text and format using the Font tools in the ribbon. Open the Styles Pane. Then right click on the desired Heading style you wish that text to resemble and select Update Heading to Match Selection. This will modify all the headings for this document.
