When using APA format, follow the author-date method of in-text citation. This means that the authors last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text, like, for example, (Jones, 1998). One complete reference for each source should appear in the reference list at the end of the paper.
The title will be the title of the page within the Learning Guide. The site name will always be the name of the specific Learning Guide that you are using followed by the information below. You will then add Retrieved Month, Date, Year from where youll need to provide the URL for the location.
Using In-text Citation APA in-text citation style uses the authors last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005). For direct quotations, include the page number as well, for example: (Field, 2005, p. 14). For sources such as websites and e-books that have no page numbers, use a paragraph number.
Full In-text citation Start with the surname of the author (or editor, translator, compiler, etc.). When referring to a particular part of a work, follow the surname by a space and a page number or numbers. Example: This psychological phenomenon has been previously demonstrated (Smith 178-85).
Using in-text citations The last name of the author(s) and the year of publication are generally needed. They can appear within a sentence or at the end of a sentence before the full stop eg. . this week (Brown 2019). A page number is included for a direct quote.
