First select the cell that has the formula you want to fill, then select the cells underneath it, and then press Ctrl+D. You can also press Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.

Use Shortcut Use the keyboard shortcut to apply the formula to the entire column, including any new rows you insert: Ctrl + d (Windows) or Cmd + d (Mac). The formula will be copied to the entire column and applied to new rows as soon as they are added.
The scheme is simple. Whenever you need to get a series of values in the adjacent cells, just click on the Excel fill handle to see a small black cross and drag it vertically or horizontally. As you release the mouse button, you will see the selected cells filled with the values depending on the pattern you specify.
The shortcut keys to AutoFit the column-width is Alt+H+O+I, and to AutoFit the row-height is Alt+H+O+A, where the Home tab opens with the Alt+H, the Format menu opens when the O is pressed, and the I and A is for column-width and the row-height, respectively.
Using Copy Paste Now, press Ctrl + C to copy the cell. Use Shift + Down Arrow to select the partial column or Ctrl + Shift + Down Arrow to select the whole column until the 1,048,576th cell. Press Ctrl + V to paste the formula.
