Fill formulas into adjacent cells Select the cell with the formula and the adjacent cells you want to fill. Click Home Fill, and choose either Down, Right, Up, or Left. Insert the same data into multiple cells using Ctrl+Enter Select all the blank cells in a column. Press F2 to edit the last selected cell and type some data: it can be text, a number, or a formula (e.g. unknown) Press Ctrl+Enter instead of Enter. All the selected cells will be filled with the data that you typed.
While Google Docs doesnt have specific keyboard shortcuts for inserting equations, you can use general shortcuts like Ctrl + Shift + C (Windows) or Command + Shift + C (Mac) to access the equation editor quickly.
AutoFill Formulas Click and hold on the fill handle and drag to the right (or down) to fill in the other cells. Excel automatically adjusts the formula for the row it is now on (so, in the example at right, Februarys total formula would read =SUM(B3:F3) and so on.
Drag the yellow dot down the column. Or select the cell with the formula, type command-c to copy, select all the cells in the column, type command-v to paste.
