Answer: Click Home Cut (or press Ctrl + X). Select the cell you want the formula to be in, and then click Paste (or press Ctrl + V).
Once you have a formula in one of the cells, click the cell and look for the small square in the lower right corner called the fill handle. Next, you can click on the square and drag to highlight all the cells you want to apply the formula to. Excel automatically fills these cells based on the formula you used.
Fill formulas into adjacent cells Select the cell with the formula and the adjacent cells you want to fill. Click Home Fill, and choose either Down, Right, Up, or Left. Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Ctrl+D to fill the formula down in a column, or Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.
The shortcut keys to AutoFit the column-width is Alt+H+O+I, and to AutoFit the row-height is Alt+H+O+A, where the Home tab opens with the Alt+H, the Format menu opens when the O is pressed, and the I and A is for column-width and the row-height, respectively.
You just do the following: Enter a formula in the top cell. Select the cell with the formula, and hover the mouse cursor over a small square at the lower right-hand corner of the cell, which is called the Fill handle. Hold and drag the fill handle down the column over the cells where you want to copy the formula.
First select the cell that has the formula you want to fill, then select the cells underneath it, and then press Ctrl+D. You can also press Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row. Select the cell that contains the formula you want to copy. Hover your cursor around the black square in the lower right corner of the cell until your cursor turns into a plus sign. Click and hold the left mouse button while dragging the handle to include all cellswhere you would like the formula copied.
