one of the most common rfes that I see are about the i-864 Affidavit of Support this is used in a family-based petition to show that the sponsor is financially able to care for the sponsored person so the person who is the U.S citizen in this example could also be a permanent resident itamp;#39;s going to be filling in this form on behalf of the person that they sponsor now we get a lot of rfes and other attorneys report the same I have consultations with people who file their case on their own I think that this is one of the most common requests for evidences that we see and unfortunately when immigration writes us a request for evidence about the i-864 in many cases it is not clear what is the problem so I just received an rfe for my own client I just had a consult rotation with someone who filed their own case and the rfes look identical it looks like the immigration officer has just cut and pasted sample paragraphs and the problem with these RFS is that they do not tell us what is

The Evidence Log is used to document and provide a written record of each item of evidence collected during an investigation.
The tag should include a police identification number, the date, time, and a description of the item. It should also note where the piece of evidence was collected from, who collected it, and any information associated with the items make, model, or brand.
An evidence log for items such as hair, a lip stain, a bloody knife, bloody glass shards, and blood drops should contain descriptions, locations where found, collection methods, preservation details, and a chain of custody to maintain the integrity and verifiability of the evidence for use in investigations and trials.
How to fill out evidence log template: Start by entering the date and time of each piece of evidence being logged. Include a brief description of the evidence, such as its type or nature. Record the source or origin of the evidence, whether it was obtained from a person, a location, or another source.
If there were exhibits or items offered in evidence at the hearing, the evidence control sheet documents these for purposes of preserving the items for future use as may be necessary.
A typical evidence log will include the date and time the evidence was collected, the name of the investigator, the location where the evidence was collected, the reason the evidence was collected, relevant serial numbers, a description of the evidence, and the method that was used to collect the evidence.
Evidence Records bridge the evidence gap between Events and the external data sources that supplied the data. An Evidence Record generally corresponds to a single input or batch of inputs that came from an external API.
Recording the crime scene is also known as documenting the crime scene. This includes writing notes, taking photographs, recording videos, and much more. Evidence needs to be preserved from weather and people. Tents can be erected in order to preserve evidence.
Identification: On outside of box, paper bag, or envelope: Type of specimens, date secured, CSI or investigators initials, case name and number. Amount Desired: Standard - NONE. Evidence - Submit entire cigarette butt. Preservation: Keep dry. Wrapping Packing: Package in box, envelope or a paper bag.
Necessary Information for Tagging Each police department has its own preferred procedures for tagging evidence, but its important to remain consistent with each case. The tag should include a police identification number, the date, time, and a description of the item.
