The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from a recognized post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada who want to work and live in New Brunswick. Candidates applying for this program must be endorsed by a designated employer.
Designated employers who have identified a candidate able to fill an existing vacancy are required to complete the Endorsement Application for each Principal Applicant. Endorsement is required before an applicant can apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a work permit and Permanent Residency.
To be eligible for the AIP you must: have qualifying work experience unless you are an international student that graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. meet the educational criteria. meet the language criteria.
If you received a valid provincial certificate of endorsement before December 31, 2021, you can still apply for permanent residence under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot until March 5, 2022. The Atlantic Immigration Program has replaced the pilot.
If the province endorses the job offer, theyll send a Certificate of Endorsement to the candidate. Once the candidate gets their endorsement certificate, they can apply for permanent residence.
Proof of recruitment efforts. Evidence of the candidates previous work experience. A valid language assessment (IELTS or CELPIP for English, TEF Canada or TCF Canada for French). The Principal Applicants (including any accompanying family members) Settlement Plan.
