What are RFIs? Requests for Information, most commonly referred to as RFIs, are formal documents used during construction projects to ask upstream questions for clarity on design, specifications, approvals, and more.
A request for information (RFI) is used when the owner wants several contractors to provide potential solutions, while a request for proposal (RFP) is used in a bidding process to solicit offers for a project.
Cut and fill is a common process where the movement of the earth is handled in a logical manner. The goal of cut and fill is ultimately to conserve energy and maximize the use of existing materials to avoid bringing in or shipping out dirt mass.
