hey everybody welcome back to the show tech TV in this video Iamp;#39;ll be discussing the code blocks extension in Google Docs in a previous video I talked about using Google docs for coding notes and feel free to check this one out also so on that previous video I got a question from stag to make a video extending off of that one so this video is kind of extending how I keep my code Snippets organized in my coding notes and just as a quick note I really like the structure of Google Drive for keeping my coding notes organized within Google Docs I use an extension called code blocks to save code examples and to make my coding notes user friendly for myself the extension can be added under extensions add-ons and then get add-ons and then search for code blocks and it should be the first one and youamp;#39;ll just it I of course already have it installed and the extensions will show under extensions so in the document paste the code that you want to convert into a Google Docs code bloc

With the document open, click Extensions | Code Blocks and then select Start from the menu. A new right sidebar will open (Figure A), where you can make use of the tool. Code Blocks is installed and ready to go. To use Code Blocks, write or paste your code in the document.

Google Docs is a free service from Google that allows you to manage and store your documents online. If youd like your audience to view them through your site, you can copy the embed code of the document and place it in our HTML section (for Pro users).
To access this code-formatting feature in your current Google Docs document, select Insert Building blocks Code Blocks. Afterwards, select the programming language of your choice. Its also possible to access this feature by typing @project assets in the document and selecting Code blocks.
Windows -- hold the ALT key down and type in the code using your numeric keypad. NOTE: This doesnt work using the top row of numbers - it must be from the keypad. On a laptop you can access the hidden numeric keypad by using either the FN key or Num Lock which will put the keyboard into numeric keypad mode.
How To Fill. Filling is done by selecting a cell, clicking the fill icon and selecting the range using drag and mark while holding the left mouse button down. The fill icon is found in the button right corner of the cell and has the icon of a small square.
To see the hidden characters in a Google Docs, Click somewhere in the Doc. Click View. Click Show non-printing characters. Click to Scroll down your Doc to see all of your hidden formatting symbols.
