Answer Open the footer by double clicking in it. At the top of the screen there will be a Quick Parts button. Click on Quick Parts and then on Field. In the field names list, click FileName. To include the path, or server address, select the Add path to filename check box. Click OK.
Go to Insert Header Footer. Add or header or footer text. Use the Options menu for additional customization. To exit, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Using document info Double-click the header or footer. Select Document Info and choose the information you want. Note: Select Document Property to select additional information, such as Title, Company, or Subject. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
Go to Insert Header or Footer. Select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Quick Parts and select Field. In the Field names list, choose the field you want (such as FileName, Date, Author, or Title), choose the format you want in the Field properties section.
On the Header/Footer tab, select Custom Header or Custom Footer. Select in the Left, Center, or Right section box, and then select any of the buttons to add the header or footer information that you want in that section.
To use the autofill feature, you can follow these four steps: Choose your text. Navigate to the AutoText menu. Create a new building block. Use your new AutoText entry. Remove paragraph marks. Give your autofill entry a unique name. Group your autofill entries. Remove unused autofill entries.
Another way to insert the file name without the extension is to use a different field. For instance, you could use File Properties to save the filename by typing it in manually without the extension. You could then use the DOCPROPERTY field to recall that specific property and insert it in your document.
Add logo to letterhead on Microsoft Word: Click Insert, then on the Insert menu click Header. Choose a style; we suggest the blank layout so you can add a photo. In the Header menu, click Pictures. Select your PNG file. Resize the image ing to your specifications by dragging the circles in the corner of your image.
