How to add Bates Numbering to a PDF in docHub. Open the file. Click Tools. Select Edit PDF. Choose More. Click Bates Numbering and Add. Select Output Options to customize the serial numbers. Click OK.
Bates numbering best practices Use the right number of digits. In Bates numbering, the number of digits in a number is often used to indicate how many pages are in a specific document set. Add extra information. Make sure each number is unique. Keep it consistent.
Add Bates numbering Select the Edit mega verb from the global bar and select More Bates numbering Add. In the Bates Numbering dialog box, select Add files, and choose Add Files, Add Folders, or Add Open Files. As needed, do any of the following in the list of files:
Bates Numbering: Assigns a number to files and documents in a case database. For natives, it is one number per file (e.g., SMITH 0000100. docx). For PDFs and TIFFs, the number is one per page, named with the beginning Bates number (e.g., SMITH 0000100.
Add bates numbering Select Edit Insert Bates Numbering and select Add from the drop-down list to open the Add Bates Numbers dialog box. Click Add Files. Click Output to display the Add Bates Numbers - Output Rules dialog box. Click OK in the Add Bates Numbers dialog box to call the Header and Footer dialog box.
Using Acrobat DC Pro, you can automatically apply Bates numbering as a header or footer to any document or to documents in a PDF Portfolio (If the PDF Portfolio contains non-PDF files, Acrobat converts the files to PDF and add Bates numbering). You can add custom prefixes and suffixes, as well as a date stamp.
Adding Page Numbers Open your PDF and click on the Edit PDF icon. from the tool list on the left. In the secondary toolbar at the top, click Header Footer then click on Add. In the dialog box that appears, select your desired settings for the position, style, and appearance of the page numbers. Click OK.
Prefix: A prefix is a set of characters that is added to the beginning of the Bates number. This can be used to identify a specific case or document. Bates number: The Bates number is the unique identifier that is assigned to each page.
