okay so one common task that pops up from time to time when youamp;#39;re working with vector data in arcgis pro is the need to create a new column or field in your attribute table so you create a new attribute so to do that you go ahead and look at any any attribute table that you have this can even work for standalone tables that you have in arcgis pro so first weamp;#39;re going to look at the indiana counties map i have here weamp;#39;re going to right click on it in our contents tab and go to the attribute table and this will open up the attribute table as a standalone window or a tabbed window down here we can actually pull the attribute table out of this so that it does stand alone which is convenient if you have multiple monitors and then we can also make it snap right back in and in this case maybe i want to add a column to calculate some ratio between two variables in the data set or to create a new variable that i can use to do something like dissolve internal boundaries
