What Is the LSAT Flex? The LSAT Flex was pioneered starting in April of 2020 and is the remote version of the traditional LSAT test. This test allowed extra flexibility for test-takers, all while still offering secured testing conditions through a system called ProctorU.
As per the official LSAT exam pattern 2023, the exam will be of two parts. Part 1 will have five 35-minute sections - one reading comprehension, one analytical reasoning, and two logical reasoning sections, in addition to an unscored section, called the variable section.

In the fall of 2019, LSAC made an announcement that it plans to make a major change to the logic games section of the LSAT by 2023. In this post, we review why they made the announcement and how you can prepare for the change.
COVID-19 Update: LSAC has announced that they will be offering an online, live remote-proctored format through June 2022. Starting in August 2021, the LSAT will continue to have three scored sections, but will add back in a fourth, unscored variable section.
Starting in late 2021, however, an experimental section was added back to the test. With the addition of a fourth section, test takers also receive a 10-minute break between sections 2 and 3 of their LSAT. LSAC uses the questions in experimental section to test new items for future administrations.
